Guided Birdwatching Walks

Friends of MBS organises regular Birdwatching Walks and other events for the community, led by people well-versed in birds of the area. Keep an eye on the events schedule above to see when the next walk/event is taking place, or contact us if you’d like to enquire about organising a group tour.

Sunday 26th

2 Bird Watching Walks @ Point Waylen (Alfred Cove)
9.30am & 10.15am

Friends of Melville Bird Sanctuary are hosting 2 guided Birdwatching Walks starting from Point Waylen, Attadale (Meet at the Friends of MBS gazebo at the eastern end of Troy Park (opp 194 Burke Drive, Attadale).‍ ‍

Time: Join Lesley Macauley at 9.30 AM, or catch the 10.15 AM walk led by Gareth Evans and Brian Spittles. Each guided walk runs for 45 minutes.

You will also have a chance to see (and if you like, join in) the community planting day (as its National Tree Day!) in progress at Point Waylen.

Please wear warm clothing, closed shoes, a hat and bring binoculars, a raincoat and a bottle of water.
